7 Liberty of London Target

Ok, I have to say I was a little bit disappointed in the Liberty of London items at Target. Some of the clothes and bedding were so cute, but the fabrics and cuts were so wrong. I think sometimes they underestimate Target shoppers, I would be willing to pay more for these items if they were made of nicer materials, and I'm guessing other people would too. 

I did end up picking up some of the black, white, and yellow dishwear.  The nesting bowls are ceramic, but  I really wish they would stop doing the dinnerwear in melamine.

What did you think? Pick up anything good?

2 Another Day, Another Trip to Target

So...I was having a stressful day at work today. I decided to run to Target just to get out of the office for a few minutes. To my surprise, the Orla Kiely kitchen wares had arrived! I got the above items, which I am super excited about. I really think that the pitcher is probably the nicest item in the collection, it is much bigger than I was anticipating. Off to arrange my new goodies now.

PS. If you live in New Orleans, the Metaire Target has the closet/storage items and the kitchen wares, but no fabric items. The Target on Manhattan on the West Bank has the closet/storage items and the cushions, rugs, and placemats. I haven't seen the napkins or canisters other than the large one at either. Also, the stock especially of the canisters, pitchers, and serving trays were VERY minimal.

1 Orla Kiely at Target....Look What I Got Today!

After visiting the Target's in my area more times than I care to admit over the last week, Orla's fantastic affordable wares finally arrived. There were two separate endcaps, one in the home storage area with the storage containers and closet organizers, and another in the bath/bedding section. Still no sign of the tableware...sigh. But I did get two cork backed placemats, two cushioned rugs, and a magazine holder. I passed on the apron and the chair cushion...although I may go back and get the latter. The apron was adorable, but realistically I wouldn't wear it, so I thought I would leave it for someone who would. Has anyone seen the tablewares yet??

4 Orla Kiely at Target?

The prospect of buying the above goodies was the only thing that got me out of the house this weekend. Unfortunately, neither of my Targets had any sign that Orla Kiely had arrived. I have heard that the official date may be the 15th, not the 1st. I am going to keep my fingers crossed...

Ok, I am going to tell you right now that I will be breaking my New Year's Resolution the first week of February when Orla Kiely for Target housewares arrive in the store! That tiered yellow pears serving tray makes my heart beat really fast...I mean this can't really count against me, you cannot pass up Orla Kiely at a good price.

Have you seen Target's Red Hot Shop? I accidentally clicked on an ad for it...and I was super impressed. It is filled with all kinds of great not-usually-available-at-Target stuff. They only bad part is a lot of the good stuff is sold out...

1 Dwell for Target {Baroque Duvet}

You might remember that during the AT Fall Cure Last Year, I had a hard time deciding which Dwell for Target Duvet Cover to buy. I ended up going with the Green Dots because it goes better with my grey accent wall behind the bed. So last weekend I was doing my weekly Target clearance shelf search when I saw that the lovely black, white, and yellow Baroque Duvet Cover was on sale for $19.99. What a score!

3 Black, White, and Yellow {Bathroom Makeover Edition}

Our house was really in need of a good cleaning this weekend. I was at Target picking up the necessary supplies, including a new toxic shower curtain liner, when I thought to myself why can't I find a nice affordable shower curtain that I like? When out of nowhere the sky parted and god himself placed the most perfect black and white striped fabric shower curtain right in front of me with a price tag of $25 {alright, maybe it was a little less dramatic than that...but you get the picture} So after a thorough scrubbing, the bathroom got a little appropriately colored makeover...

5 The Menu + The CURE!!! Yes, I'm still doing it...sort of...

Alright, I really haven't participated in the Cure much this go round...it just isn't a top priority at this time. But I'm ok with that...many other exciting things are going on right now. But anyway...here is what I did get done today:

New beautiful flower's from the Farmer's Market...I'm not sure what they are called, but I like them...

The Menu continues...the salmon was so good last week, we decided to have it again, with asparagus and dill cucumbers...


and what I'm most proud of...my new Dwell for Target duvet cover is washed and on the bed! Now I just need new curtains... {My copy of the new Apartment Therapy book arrived on Friday...it's on the nightstand waiting for me to have time to read it...}

Also accomplished today:

10, yes ten, loads of laundry

3 loads of dishes {our kitchen was gross...}

took out the trash

vacuumed {including the mattress, which I also flipped}

planned this weeks menu, and went grocery shopping

did half of an alteration on a skirt {I should have finished my kitchen curtain instead...next weekend}

and studied... whew...I'm tired!
