As someone who likes a change of location, but hates leaving a home I've worked so hard on... I really love this concept:

An open international masterplan competition for the city of Åndalsnes. The competition entry proposes to use the old industry train tracks for a new kind of infrastructure carrying mobile buildings that can be rolled back and forth depending on seasons and situations. 

0 Carlo Van De Roer Orbs

I am very excited to have just ordered these two prints by Carlo Van De Roer from 20x200. I absolutely love being in water, especially the ocean. I am a pisces after all (in every way possible), so it's pretty fitting.  So these prints really speak to me.  I absolutely love the artist's statement: 

The term “orb” is typically used to describe circular artifacts in photographs-artifacts which have been interpreted by some as spirits. Despite being debunked and explained (most commonly as backscatter from precipitation or dust), there’s a surprisingly widespread belief that orb photographs document the supernatural. There are organizations, conferences, hunts, field experts, detectors and websites dedicated to spiritualist orb photography.

This photographic search for something larger than ourselves was the starting point for this project. I photographed people in landscapes that are partly obscured by precipitation. The subjects are seen searching for or interacting with orbs, which are represented as dots covering parts of the scene.

0 My Week in Photos...

Actually, I need to catch up...these photos are from two weeks ago.  Brit and I went hiking, with our new Herschel Supply Little America backpacks (yay!)...we saw a rattlesnake (yikes!). It was nice otherwise. Next we went to Zuma Beach in Malibu. It was a little too cold but the drive was nice.  It was also mother's day so we cooked breakfast for my mom, then we did some plant shopping and landscaping at my parent's house.  I liked my outfits for the week, my big shopping trip the weekend before made a big difference in my wardrobe.

1 Weekly Flowers

I love having fresh flowers in our apartment...Aren't these lovely?  It feels like so long since I've done a weekly flower post.

By the way, do you follow me on instagram?  I will be honest I think pinning away on Pinterest and documenting my life through photos on Instagram, has cut into my blogging time.  I am trying to get better about integrating the three together, but in the meantime feel free to follow me on those sites too.

PS.  Still totally love my yellow Vessel Vase from Perch.   It's such a perfect size (and color!), it has definitely become my go to vase.

I've always been interested in and fascinated by the moon and the impact it has on our planet and people...but even more so lately...So I'm very excited about this Moon Phase Calendar designed by Irwin Glusker that I ordered from MoMA yesterday...I can't wait to find a great spot for it.

6 My Christmas Decorations 2010

So, first of all let me say please forgive me for these pics, they are horrible...but I wanted to show you my holiday decorations that I did this year.  I decided to go with a nature meets geometric/graphic theme.  I treated myself to a felt garland from West Elm and collected a perfect branch from the park by my house.  I made the mini terrarium ornaments with moss...I have wanted to do this forever, and I love them.  I'm going to try to get some better up close photos of them.  I mentioned before that I was inspired by these ornaments and you know I am obsessed with this image...and so I decorated some ceramic ornaments with a paint pen and came up with the trees and ornaments above.  And a little fishing line from my dad's vast collection...and voila!!

Anyway, I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!!
