1 Hollywood Regency Apartment

There are a lot of things that I really, really like about this New York City Apartment.  


I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want my next apartment to look like, and what my style is. Part of me would really like to be able to say that my style is _______ (fill in the blank with one style, wrapped neatly in a bow).  But the reality is my style, or at least what I would like my style to be, is definitely a conglomeration of a number of number of different styles.  I think over the years the Hollywood Regency slice of the pie is still holding strong, but has definitely gotten smaller.  


I should try to illustrate said pie.  That could be interesting.

3 Living Room Inspiration from Room Service

Remember this amazing living room and most perfect ever coffee table? A year later, I am still obsessed with the coffee table, which was custom made my Room Service in Los Angeles. Budget willing, I think I am going to have one made for our living room too. So, I was checking out their website and found all these fantastic items. I am loving the Martin Sofas. That black and white chair could definitely find a home in my living room...and the yellow one too!

4 David Jimenez {Palm Springs Regency}

I think I just found my favorite designer: David Jimenez. I am going to post several of his house tours this week. The Palm Springs Regency is described as Mid Century Modern meets Hollywood Regency. And it is all done in a lovely palette of black, white, and yellow. Oh and yellow front doors...kill me. Perfection.

I finally browsed through the images of Domino's Decorating Contest...now I'm not so crazy about the finalists...but there were some fabulous rooms, and quite a few from AT....here are some of my favorites...btw that green couch is my favorite, and now I really want one...has anyone seen a similar couch lately??

Thanks to Design for Mankind I just rediscovered an amazing store: Lille. This store has some incredibly beautiful items. The Black Forest line is so elegant...and perfect for a sophisticated Halloween party...




and these black and white lacquered trays and boxes would be perfect in my house...

And the best rediscovery was the work of John Derian. These images of antique fruit, flower and animal prints are hand-painted over centuries-old ledgers and letters. They are simply stunning...
