4 Inspiration Sunday...

This week's inspiration is Tadao Ando's Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth.

This is a building that is near and dear to my heart. I lived in Fort Worth for the first 18 years of my life. Over the years I spent lots of time in the Cultural District, at the Kimbell or the theaters. I remember being so excited about the design and construction of the new modern. It came at a great time, just before I went to Architecture School. I ended up doing my thesis project focusing on a community art center in the Cultural District, meaning that I have analyzed every aspect of the area time and time again. The Modern was by far the most influential factor in my design and thought process. I try to make a point to visit whenever I am in Texas. It was wonderful to be there with some of my most favorite people {lulu, mom, and gram.}

4 Merry Christmas Friends!

I always have a little struggle at the holidays deciding whether to continue to blog each day. I love finding great inspiration and sharing it with you, but as you can imagine it is a bit time consuming...so I have decided to take a little holiday break. I will still be tweeting, but there won't be any scheduled posts here on the blog.

I will be in Los Angeles and Texas over the next two weeks and will be back in NOLA on Jan. 4th. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and enjoys time with their family. I will see you back here on the 5th!

I have had enough cool weather...I am dreaming of warm summer days. Lulu has decided that for her graduation she wants to go to South Padre Island, TX. We spent a week here almost every summer when we lived in Texas. It will be nice to go back.

0 Dawn's Wedding {Fort Worth}

I had so much fun at Dawn and Taylor's wedding. It was perfect...the ceremony was done in the round which created a really intimate environment. Dawn's family is my second family in Texas, so it was wonderful to see them and be a part of the wedding. Weren't our kelly green dresses cute...

By the way, my favorite picture is the one in the middle, my two partners in crime {my other best friend from high school, Matt and one of Dawn's best friends from college, Kate} drinking and dancing...it's always so wonderful to see old friends...
