I like this for a number of reasons. So first of all, I became obsessed with green juices around Thanksgiving of last year. I got a juicer, and have had one almost everyday since. I love them.
Second, this space is awesome. Bells + Whistles does awesome work... I love the combination of clean, bright white, warm wood, geometric shapes, and the bold graphic menu.
I finally visited the store this weekend...such a good space with delicious (looking) juices...unfortunately I didn't actually try them, as I had just had a juice down the street (of course). Have you tried their juices? Have a favorite?

0 Lucid Stead | Phillip K Smith

Lucid Stead is an installation in Palm Desert "composed of mirror, LED lighting, custom built electronic equipment and Arduino programming amalgamated with a preexisting structure, this architectural intervention, at first, seems alien in context to the bleak landscape. Upon further viewing, Lucid Stead imposes a delirious, almost spiritual experience. Like the enveloping vista that changes hue as time passes, Lucid Stead transforms. In daylight the 70 year old homesteader shack, that serves as the armature of the piece, reflects and refracts the surrounding terrain like a mirage or an hallucination. As the sun tucks behind the mountains, slowly shifting, geometric color fields emerge until they hover in the desolate darkness. This transformation also adapts personal perception, realigning one’s sensory priorities. A heightened awareness of solitude and the measured pace of the environment is realized."

0 H House | Hiroyuki Shinozaki
Y-shaped wooden columns support rooms and lofts at different levels inside this family house. "Although the whole house is just one space under big roof, it is divided loosely with Y-shaped frames and floorboards" - Hiroyuki Shinozaki.
Interesting concept. I love the front facade.

Rolling Masterplan by Jagnefalt Milton
As someone who likes a change of location, but hates leaving a home I've worked so hard on... I really love this concept:
An open international masterplan competition for the city of Ã…ndalsnes. The competition entry proposes to use the old industry train tracks for a new kind of infrastructure carrying mobile buildings that can be rolled back and forth depending on seasons and situations.

0 Surfhouse Hermosa Beach XTEN Architecture
Surfhouse designed by XTEN Architecture is not far from our house, down the street from our landlord's house. We pass it each time we drop off our rent check, and every time we get excited. It is quite visually stunning with its black geometric exterior. I'd love to move in.

From the designer:
The facade is made from rough sawn, black stained cedar planks with volumetric openings at primary program spaces and a system of identical vertical casement windows arrayed across the secondary elevations for specific views and ventilation. The interior is all light and air, with bamboo floors and walls of glass that slide away to bring the beachside environment inside.

0 Browne Street House
This isn't exactly a pool house, more of a house with a pool. But imagine it on a smaller scale; I think it would work perfectly. Also, that island is genius.
