2 Compai's Upcycled Sugar Molds

Compai's Upcycled Sugar Molds...I cannot even begin to tell you how happy these make me.

What once was a sugar mold is now a functional holders for succulents, flatware, makeup, pens & pencils...Place them on your kitchen table, in your window, in your craft area or coffee table.
This one is marigold with polka dots and comes with 3 succulents.
Each item is one-of-a-kind and hand painted by us. Small imperfections are part of its charm.

Found thanks to Bright. Bazaar.

1 Whale Water Bottle

Yesterday I ordered this water bottle from Fred Flare. How could I resist? It has a whale...with teeth!
Anyway, I really hope I can drink from it, sometimes the metal taste bothers me. But I have decided that once I move I can no longer buy bottled water, I just go through too much of it and I hate the idea of what I am doing to the planet. Maybe the adorableness factor will keep me on track.

0 Branch Home

I love the idea of Branch Home's Biodegradable Party Kit, which includes all platters, plates, cups, and silverware you need to throw a fantastic earth friendly party. It is especially stunning paired with their Bamboo Lacquerware Bowls.

1 Yellow Gifts!

So my good friend and co-worker Kelli had this fantastic idea to give out flowers in recycled can vases Monday morning at work. It was such a pleasant surprise, and really made Monday a little easier to deal with...

I actually had a little thank you gift for her for letting me tag along with her family during the hurricane...I think the little guy on the front is uber cute!

Kelli is actually on roll on this whole inexpensive gifts with a big impact thing...This was the gift that she gave me last week for hosting our Project Runway viewing party. The cupcake is so adorable and I love the little vintage-esq yellow mini baking dishes. Thanks Kelli...

3 Our Office is Going Green...

My friends {and co-workers} and I have started a recycling program at work! Since we don't have curbside recycling in New Orleans, we had to work a little harder to find ways to recycle. This is something that we have wanted to do for a while, but the last few weeks things have really fallen into place. Our aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and glass can be dropped off at Whole Foods, which is conveniently located across the street. The paper project was a bit more difficult, but today we found the perfect place about 10 minutes from our office. The people that worked there were so nice and helpful. We kind of had fun, there were mounds of paper everywhere, and a huge box of Jif labels that we thought were really awesome. My favorite pic is definitely the action shot....

0 Bi-Wing Table @ Feel More Human

The Bi-Wing Table from Feel More Human was featured on AT last week...I think the design is really unique. It is made from a single sheet of aluminum and without any hardware or adhesives. It can be used indoors or outside and is 100% recyclable. I really like the clean lines and two shelves. As with all well designed coffee tables, it is quite expensive...but also really well designed.

1 Project Runway [Season 5] {Week 2}

This week's Project Runway challenge was The Grass Is Always Greener. Designer's were asked to use green fabrics to create a cocktail dress. Natalie Portman, whom I love, was the guest judge. The catch: the models went shopping for the fabric, resulting in many of the designers having the same poo brown fabric as Auf'd designer Wesley {gossip: Wesley revealed in the online after show, that you can only access if you are a American Express card member, that he and Daniel are in a relationship- a Project Runway first I think} or not enough fabric to make a dress of decent length. Suede, who speaks of himself in the third person and has a gross blue mo-hawk, won the challenge with the ballerina-esq. dress, that I wasn't crazy about.

My favorites were designed by Kenley {who I think may be my favorite designer}, Terri, and Korto. I took the liberty of photoshoping Korto's design to eliminate the butt fins, but otherwise I loved the idea of the inside-out look. Who were your favorites?

0 Etsy Update!

The mini felt pennant banners are now available in the store!
One of the best parts {besides the fact that they are super cute} is each banner is made of Ecospun felt that is made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles...adorable and eco-friendly!
