3 Palm Springs House...

I will be returning to the real world tonight, unfortunately...I would really like to just stay here indefinitely.  We've been staying in a 1963 Wexler Harrison home, which is really awesome.  The yard and pool are incredible.  We will definitely be staying here again (until my parent's buy us our own house here, hopefully in a couple of years).  I'll be happy to share the info on renting this house, just email me.

Returning to the real world also means that it is time for me to officially move! So I will continue to apologize if things are a little light around here...but I will have new home adventures to follow along with soon!

1 Norma's at the Parker Palm Springs...

We are still having fun in Palm Springs...I absolutely love it here.

My sister and her friend Emily left after the weekend, and we said goodbye to Brit this morning :( So now it's just me and my mom for the rest of the week.

We like it here so much we have actually been on the lookout for a great deal on a house for a possible vacation home, how fantastic would that be? Even if we don't buy a house, we will definitely be back here soon...

So here is what we've been up to:

Lots of relaxing in and by the pool {It is HOT here.} I'm super tan, which makes me very happy.  I actually look like I might be alive again, and since I'm finally eating and sleeping again, I kinda feel alive too....very good things.

Vintage shopping...some fantastic finds! I got a fabulous blue vintage belt with gold leaf buckle, a great whale planter, and a so so lovely vintage Glen of California dresser for my new room in LA.

Lunch at Norma's at the Parker Palm Springs...which was amazing.  We had lobster and Chilean sea bass fish and chips and lobster mac n cheese. {indulgent much?}  I could most definitely never ever leave the Parker.

Dinners at Los Casuelas and Trio...both delish.

We rode the Palm Springs Arial Tramway up to the top of the mountain.  It was kind of terrifying but the view was completely amazing.

Kinda took the self-guided driving tour of Palm Springs Architecture...we did manage to see Neutra's Kaufman House before we gave up. :)

Definitely planning on visiting the Viceroy before we leave and doing some serious sketching {I've decided it's time to resume my drawing a day sketches.}...

Hope you guys are well...I should be back to my normal schedule next week!

7 Palm Springs....

How adorable is our rental house in Palm Springs?  It has orange accents everywhere (only could have been better if they were yellow)...and we found vintage bikes with baskets in the garage, YES!  I think we are going to have dinner at the Parker Palm Springs tonight...I hope I don't die from over excitement.

1 Images from a Bohemian DIY Wedding

Images from a Bohemian DIY wedding that took place at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs.  I love so many things about this celebration: the welcome table with its fantastic bunting, the most appropriate use of the For Like Ever print, the flowers, the table setting....awesome.

1 Mid Century Home in Palm Springs

I have been dreaming even more lately about owning a mid century modern home. It seems that Palm Springs is unfairly filled with them, and thus I have become obsessed. This one for sale for 739k {which actually seems like a good deal to me for a 5 bedroom house in CA} really has my name written all over it. In addition to 5 bedrooms {I could have a craft room, reading room, dressing room, etc.} it features characteristic white clean lines, a yellow accent wall at the front door, an adorable pool, and every bedroom opens to the outside {and is styled in black, white, and yellow!!!}
Pardon me while I snap back to reality...
