4 Concrete and Wood...and An Awesome Chair

You have to click over and see the rest of this house at Black Eiffel if you haven't already...its kinda amazing.  I completely love the contrast of the cool concrete and warm wood in the bedroom.


Does anyone know anything about that chair in the bottom right of the living room pic?  I will be very thankful if you do!


PS. I think the scale and arrangement of the furniture in the second image is totally wonky.

The Paper Porcelain Collection is kinda really amazing.

Paper table by Scholten & Baijings combines subtlety with elegance. The folded cardboard models for the crockery are translated into light grey, unglazed porcelain cups and plates.

1 Modern Twist Placemats

I purchased one of these placemats {the orgiami one on the left} a while ago. I completely love it, but I didn't really know anything about it.  So I was super excited to see this post on Design*Sponge last week about Modern Twist and some of their upcoming designs.  I may have to have a few of the Kyoto pattern when they come out. 

Although I don't eat on mine, I do set my drinks {both hot and cold} on it all the time, and it has really held up well.  Also, they feel really cool...all rubbery like.

PS.  When I move to Los Angeles next month, I'm going to live with my parents for a few months until I figure out exactly where I want to live and save up some money.  So, the first order of business is going to be fixing up the room I share with my sister {who will be away at college while I'm living there}.

One Eleven Project from Remson Haley Herpin Architects in Baton Rouge won all kinds of AIA awards...It appears to be a good example of mixed use building.  I wouldn't mind living there...and it's literally steps into the Shaw Center and an elevator ride to Tsunami, one of my favorite sushi restaurants.

OneEleven, a multi-use building which offers both commercial and residential units, is the first ground-up residential project built in Downtown Baton Rouge in over forty years. As such, this project represents a significant step forward in the redevelopment of our Downtown. OneEleven is a pioneering project because, although small, it sets an example of what can be achieved using infill sites, alternative building programming, and creative design solutions to solve the unique problems associated with urban redevelopment.
