0 Desination Nashville

This weekend I was in Nashville for my good friend Dawn's bachelorette party. It was fantastic. I was really impressed with the city and all of the cool restaurants and shops that it has. We stayed at the Union Station Hotel, which was great. Mostly we did a lot of eating and drinking at some amazing places. {If you plan on visiting Nashville, I highly recommend all the places listed below}

Friday

Breakfast @ Prime 108

Some Culture @ The Frist Center for the Visual Arts {The exhibit Monet to Dali was great, but the fact that you get an Ipod guided tour was even better. And the floor of the main gallery in this museum was to die for...they wouldn't let me take pics unfortunately.}

Lunch @ San Antonio Taco Company

Dinner @ Boundry
Drinking and Karaoke @Lonnie's Western Bar {Yes, that is right. I was at a country bar. And I sang karaoke to a country song...in a big group, not by myself, but I did it...you know I must really love Dawn.}

Saturday

Brunch @ The Yellow Porch

Dinner @ Radius 10 {This place was AMAZING...it couldn't have been more perfect the atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic, and the service was probably the best I've ever had.}

Brunch @ Margot Cafe

Shopping @ Pangea and Fire Finch {I found some amazing goodies at these shops...pics to come} Plus a quick stop @ the Saks Outlet that resulted in the most perfect little black Vince dress...

3 Apartment Therapy Spring Cure {Week 1 Accomplishments}

I just purchased a very expensive item...a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner!! {Unfortunately, mine is the blue version, instead of the yellow, but I decided I couldn't wait to order the yellow one.} I was nervous about this purchase, because they are so expensive. But I just vacuumed our whole house, and you would not believe the amount of grossness that it sucked up. {I love that the canister is clear, so you can see it working...} I am fighting a nasty sinus infection, loosing all that dirt and dust has to help...


Other Accomplishments:
-Thoroughly cleaned the kitchen {dishes, countertops, refrigerator, and floor}
-Got rid of an item: a great bamboo curtain that doesn't fit any of our windows
-Did an amazing amount of laundry
-Made a great discovery regarding the curtain for the kitchen {more to come...}
-Freshened up the landing strip by adding a new organizer tray
-Found some fun "objects..."

So no pretty pictures this week...but some great advancements in the house...

I will be in Nashville celebrating with my good friend Dawn, so that is it for my Cure this week...have a good weekend!

2 Work Space Inspiration {Shim and Sons}

More workspace inspiration, this time from Shim and Sons. Sally is famous for her Wall Pockets that I love to admire at Reform School. I love the palette of her workspace- I would love to use a linen-esq. fabric in my office. Her use of an Ikea Kitchen Island is also genius...and might just be what I am looking for. I have to also include the images below, many of which have been in my inspiration database for sometime. Sally's products and methods of organization would be brilliant in any space...
