11 Project Runway

I completely forgot to blog about Project Runway last week, I was so overstimulated by all of the shows. For those of you who don't know...this is my most favorite TV show ever, and the only one I blog about. These are my favorites from last week. What do you think? Favorites?

2 Project Runway Winner {Leanne Marshall}

So last night was the big finale...and Leanne won! I really did like her collection. I love the restrained color palette and the architectural details. Like Nina Garcia, I look forward to seeing what else she can do...Congrats Leanne!

4 Project Runway Finale {Korto Momolu}

I have to say, I really wanted Korto to win. I thought her collection was fantastic. I love the color palette that she chose, and I adore those fans. I would wear everyone of these outfits. I think she will have a great future in fashion.

So, although Kenley was one of my favorites throughout the show, I'm glad she didn't win. Although she had some good pieces, he collection was disjointed. And her additude...

1 Project Runway [Season 5] {Week 5}

This week's challenge was Welcome To the Jungle with guest judge Brooke Shields. The designers were asked to design an outfit for Brooke Shields' character on the show, that would be appropriate for work and evening. The designers worked in pairs, which always makes things interesting. Keith, paired with Kenley, won the challenge. Jerell's fun belted dress was the other top design. {I have to say he did an amazing job of working with Stella by having her create the leather belt. Also, did you notice how much less crazy she looked this week on the runway, much more toned down.} Kelli ended up getting the Auf, which I totally disagree with. I really think Blayne should have gone home. His outfit was inappropriate for both work and evening and those shorts did not fit well at all. I still don't really have a favorite yet, like I did in season's past. In fact I think these designers as a whole are coming up with some pretty boring designs. I hope they starting impressing us soon...

2 Project Runway [Season 5] {Week 4}

This weeks challenge, Rings of Glory, was to design an outfit for an American female athlete attending the opening ceremony of the Olympics. I like that it was something different, an actual challenge not just another evening dress. That said, there were some pretty horrific outfits in my opinion, including some that ended up in the top three. {Um, he made a skort, and worse Michael Kors liked it!}

I thought Terri would win for sure. I think her design was one of the only modern design of the bunch, the others all looked too retro/vintage. Alas, Korto's 70's pants and hideous vest won {Don't get me wrong, I really like her, but I thought this outfit missed the mark.} My top three would have been Terri, Leanne, and Keith. Unsurprisingly, Jennifer went home. I would have totally worn her outfit, but I agreed that it wasn't right for the challenge. I would have sent Stella's disgusting outfit home...
