Saturday, It's A Saturday

Since I'm off in Lala Land this weekend, I thought I'd give you a Saturday recap from a couple of weeks ago...this time I was joined by Dante. We first went to some garage sales, but didn't have much luck {actually, at one point we thought we were in a horror movie, so we decided to ditch the garage sales and stick to my favorite Saturday markets}

So, we went to the Crescent City Farmer's Market, where we got lots of veggies, homemade fruit juice, and flowers {from my favorite ladies' booth}

We noticed this across the street...although I've been on this corner many times, I had never noticed this garage/art installation. But it is black, white, yellow and completely fantastic! The owner happen to be waiting for someone outside, so he let us go in and take a couple of pics...

Then we walked to Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar for breakfast {which was simple but fantastic...so were the bloody mary's} We discovered some fun buildings on the way {SQUEEZE!}... This is something I love about New Orleans, there is always something new to discover...

Next we took a look at this church, which appears to still be closed from the storm...but still quite beautiful...

Next we were off to the Feret Streets Art Market, where we picked up some fun art magnets...but it was hot so we decided to head to Magazine Street...where we found this secret garden...and then had fantastic Hansen's Snow Balls to cool off...and then I took a nap!
